Disappointing Night For Klutt

Press Release - Tuesday Jun 2016

INNISFIL, ON: “This wasn’t the finish that we were looking for”, said Klutt, post race at Sunset Speedway.

The #59 Pioneer Family Pools/ Bothwell-Accurate/ CTL car was quickest in practice, leading to a solid 7th place qualifying effort. “The car was good in qualifying but I just got a little greedy and over drove it, I knew we’d be fine to start the race” added Gary.

When the green flag flew, Gary quickly picked off the cars in front and was comfortably lapping sitting in the 3rd spot. The first fuel stop dropped the #59 car to near the rear. With around 100 laps to go, a dive bomb move resulting in Klutt getting hit from behind spinning the car and having to sit and watch the field go by. “We just never recovered. We got a little behind in set up and ended up behind the 8 ball. We chased the set up all night”.

The always smiling Klutt had to add, “That’s just racing! At least the car is in one piece and we can have a quick turn around for stop #3 at Autodrome Chaudiere this Friday”. The team will head back to Legendary Motorcar Company, to work hard on bringing a winning car to the next stop.
